When did you last participate in the ThinkLA Mentorship program?
In the 2018 session! How was your experience as a Mentor and was it something you would recommend to others?
It’s so great to spend quality time with someone who works in the industry; whether we were having heart to heart chats on how to advance or just hanging out getting coffee and sharing life updates, all the time spent with my mentee was incredible. Sometimes you just need a sounding board who gets our crazy industry. I highly recommend this program to anyone who just needs to chat it out. Protip: Be upfront with what you want and the best way to communicate; some people prefer emails, others respond to texts. Full honesty and transparency will only make the relationship easier and stronger.Did you remain in-touch with your past mentee(s)? I keep in touch with my first mentee and I’ve gotten to see her excel and grow into emerging parts of the industry.

“The ThinkLA Mentorship program has been incredibly rewarding and valuable for me. Not only do I get to give back after more than two decades in the industry; I learn so much from each mentee, which enables me to stay current and help guide the association. This program is a two-way street for mentees and mentors alike. I’m grateful to remain a resource for some of my past mentees.”
